Poet Bios:
CHAD WEEDEN is the author of the debut poetry collection, The Ice Stayed but the Water Left (Broken Tribe Press, 2025). His poems have appeared in Appalachian Review, The Midwest Quarterly, Jabberwock Review, Asheville Poetry Review, Jet Fuel Review, The Pedestal Magazine, & elsewhere. He is a portrait photographer & lives in Rhode Island.

JOHN AMEN has authored five collections of poetry, including Illusion of an Overwhelm, finalist for the 2018 Brockman-Campbell Award, & work from which was chosen as a finalist for the 2018 Dana Award. He’s the recipient of the 2021 Jack Grapes Poetry Prize & the 2024 Susan Laughter Myers Fellowship. His poems & prose have appeared recently in Rattle, Prairie Schooner, Poetry Daily, & Tupelo Quarterly. His latest collection is Dark Souvenirs, released by New York Quarterly Books in 2024. Amen is the founder & managing editor of The Pedestal Magazine, & lives in Charlotte, NC.

We’ll begin at 7:00 sharp & have a hard stop at 8:50 (venue closes at 9:00).
Following the featured program & a short break for book sales/signings, stick around to enjoy the OPEN MIC!
Open Mic Guidelines:
Please arrive 6:30–6:45 to sign up in person, as spots are limited & go quickly. No holds. Each open mic reader has up to 5 minutes on stage to share 1–2 poems max. If you sign up to read, please stay to hear & support your fellow poets.

The TINY TABLETOP LIBRARY, dedicated in Memory of Poet Mike James (1970–2023), offers FREE, generously donated poetry (books, chapbooks, journals, & anthologies) for you to peruse, take home, enjoy, & share when you’re done.
