Join Child Care Aware of New Hampshire (CCAoNH), a program of Community Action Partnership Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties (CAPHR) for a:
WATER SAFETY TRAINING with Scott Noyes
Drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional death in the United States, and the second leading cause of death for people ages 5 to 44. For children ages 1 to 2, drowning is the leading cause of injury death. (U.S. Lifesaving Association) This program examines why and how children drown and what we can do to prevent it.
- This training will award 2.5 hours of professional development toward the required Health and Safety training.
- Training Hours count towards the 18 hours of annual required professional development needs.
- This in-person training will provide a water safety certificate valid for three (3) years.

MEET OUR TRAINER
Scott Noyes has been providing workshops for childcare providers, teachers, and parents since 1986. His background includes a B.S. degree from the University of Vermont in Child Development as well as graduate classes from Wheelock College. Scott performs over 150 workshops, classes, and trainings each year.
In Early Childhood Development he has worked as:
- a Vermont state-sponsored Child Sexual Assault Prevention Trainer
- a regulatory compliance consultant
- a head teacher in a parent cooperative
- a primary care provider for neglected and abused children
- a director for a nonprofit child care center
- a Child Care Training Specialist working on several Work/Family Direction grants
- a teacher of undergraduate and graduate college courses in Positive Discipline and Challenging Behaviors
His aquatic background has included:
- water safety instructor
- certification director of aquatics
- swim team coach and swimming instructor
- Director of sailing
- Lifeguard
Scott is credentialed in New Hampshire with endorsements as a Trainer, Mentor, and Faculty.
