ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
We will depart for a remarkable experience called “Melukat” by the Balinese, a sacred water purification ceremony. Held in an ancient water temple where the convergence of 2 rivers forms natural springs, you will be accompanied through the experience by guides. Stopping at each of a series of purification points and waterfalls, you will be blessed with the holy water, which locals believe provides therapeutic benefits on a holistic level.
When the water purification ceremony is finished, you will sit in meditation with the temple’s priest and contemplate as he provides further fascinating insights into the traditional ways of the Balinese, an extraordinary roundup to a deeply touching day.
Ida Resi Alit is a Balinese High Priestess from Bangli Regency in northeast Bali. Ida’s youth was spent in an agrarian village, living a traditional life with her family. In her early twenties, Ida had a near-death experience that resulted in an awakening of spirit, during which she inexplicably received detailed knowledge of Balinese spiritual traditions and teachings. Ida is renowned for her ability to chant transformative mantras and for the water purifications she offers. She has traveled the world carrying her message of unity, compassion, and love to people of all faiths and beliefs.
