This panel features three local experts who are eager to share their knowledge and available resources for Nebraska landowners and agriculturalists as well as the general public.

● Robert Lawson, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS): Rob Lawson is the State Conservationist for Nebraska USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Rob has worked throughout the Upper Midwest with NRCS for over 21 years. He started his current position as State Conservationist in February 2022 where he oversees technical and financial assistance to farmers, ranchers, private landowners and local communities of soil, water, wildlife, and other natural resources. Rob grew up on a
family farm in Southeast Iowa and attended Iowa State University.
● Cait Caughey, Center for Rural Affairs (CFRA): Cait Caughey is Senior Beginning Farmer and Market Associate at the Center for Rural Affairs and runs the Beginning Farmer Conservation Fellowship program. Cait provides education and programming to beginning farmers in Southwest Iowa and Nebraska. Cait also has 10 years experience farming in Southwest Iowa specialty crops, herbs, and prairie seedlings.
● Hannah Sidel, Nebraska Land Trust (NLT): Hannah serves as the Communications Director for Nebraska Land Trust (NLT), a statewide land trust dedicated to the permanent conservation of privately owned lands. Prior to joining NLT, she worked for the Crane Trust in Wood River and the National Arbor Day Foundation in Lincoln. Hannah holds a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Wildlife from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
