No background knowledge is required for this event as we will watch a video together before discussing its content. This time, we will be watching "Building Anthropic" - a conversation with Anthropic's co-founders who discuss the past, present, and future of the company.
Anthropic is a research company focusing on building safe AI. Their LLMs compete with other big companies such as OpenAI and Google DeepMind. However, while some argue that joining the race towards AGI is not a good strategy, others believe that access to state-of-the-art-models is crucial for successful AI safety research. We are looking forward to the discussion and to seeing you there!
