Workshop Description

Government, business, technical experts and community stakeholders will have the opportunity to share their perspectives, explore regional projects, and identify opportunities to advance strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution in the Waste, Materials, and Industrial sectors.

This workshop serves as a key step in developing a regional air quality improvement and emission reduction plan—the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan.

Program Background

In 2023, the City of Austin received a $1 million Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The City of Austin’s Office of Sustainability is using these funds to collaborate with regional governmental agencies and community organizations to create Central Texas’ first multi-agency Comprehensive Climate Action Plan. This plan will lay a path for how we work together to reduce pollution that can cause climate change and poor air quality in the greater Austin and Central Texas region.

Venue Information

The Permitting and Development Center is located at 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Drive, Austin, Texas 78752. The workshop will be held in the Event Center located in the southeastern section on the first floor - Room 1405. Please note that the parking garage requires pay, street parking is also available.
