In this fun, informative, and can-do course we will construct a 9x12 Sugeta used in forming beautiful eastern style sheets of washi. Beginning with a brief history of eastern papermaking, we will cover designing, constructing, and choosing appropriate materials before assembling our own Sugeta. This course is open to all levels and requires no previous papermaking or woodworking experience.
