The Edward J & Helen Jane Morrison Gallery is pleased to host the annual Pop-Up Washi Tape Exhibition Feb. 7-21 "Pop-Up" exhibits are designed to be temporal events, allowing for experimentation outside of more formally organized shows.
In this case, students from many parts of the studio art program will fill the gallery with amazing temporary drawings using the low-tack Washi tape developed in Japan for decorative uses. They have seven days to complete these works, and the results are impressive in scale as well as occupying some unusual parts of the gallery.
This annual exhibit runs Feb. 7-21.
Open hours for viewing: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturdays noon-4 p.m. in the Edward J and Helen Jane Morrison Gallery in the Humanities Fine Arts building. Parking available in the North lot.
