The team behind WaShBowl are delighted to announce that WaShBowl II: Bowlie à Deux, a student-aimed pop culture buzzer tournament, will be held at Warwick University on Saturday 1st March 2025.The tournament will be closed, and therefore student-only. We encourage people to form teams within their societies and/or universities wherever possible, but where it makes more sense, we also welcome chimera teams. It is not required that the teams you sign up initially have to be the line-ups that come and play on the day, so if you know you have the interest but haven't yet sorted out who will be on which team, please sign them up anyway as it would be helpful for us to have an idea of numbers as soon as possible.
The event will be held on campus at the University of Warwick, and the entry fee will be £80 per team. There will be a discount of £5 per lockout buzzer set a team can provide that we ultimately use, and £10 for any team travelling over 200 miles to get to Warwick. There will also be a £25 discount for any team that also provides a moderator.
Unlike last year, it is not currently our intention to run an open mirror at any point, but if that changes we will let people (particularly those who have signed up to moderate) know as soon as possible.
