What IS a Plant Swap?
A Plant Swap is where local plant lovers gather with healthy, pest-free plants, cuttings, and gardening supplies they’d like to swap or give away.
Throughout the event, people trade plants by chatting and agreeing on suitable swaps. There will also be a "Free Space" to place unwanted plants, cuttings, or supplies for others to adopt.
How Does a Swap Work?
Browse what others have brought, find a plant you like, and chat with the person who brought it. Offer a swap, and they can accept, counter, or decline. Keep browsing and swapping as long as you’d like—you can even re-swap plants. The goal is to mingle, chat, and go home with new plants!
What Should I Bring?
Healthy, pest-free plants or cuttings to swap (we recommend 5-10), a bag or box to transport your plants, an open mind, and friendly heart!
What if No One Wants My Plants?
We doubt that! People will bring a range of plants, from common pothos to rare philodendrons. There’s something for everyone!
Should My Cuttings Be Rooted?
They don’t need to be! As long as they’re healthy and pest-free, they can be fresh or rooting.
Are There Plant Size Restrictions?
Not really—just remember you’ll need to carry them!
Can I Buy Plants?
If no other agreement can be made. This lets people without plants still join in.
