About this Event
Hey Brooklyn youth, ages 10-24! Join us for a heartfelt and engaging workshop designed to help youth navigate the emotions that come with starting a new school year, through fun and engaging activities. We'll explore how to recognize and validate feelings, understand and express the emotions tied to this transitional time, set goals and aspirations for the year, and equip ourselves with emotional tools to face the upcoming school year with confidence.
This workshop creates a supportive space where every young person feels heard, valued, and ready for what's next.

Guided Reflection and Affirmations
Info: Reflect on the strengths we'd like to continue to develop and brainstorm how we'd like to challenge ourselves to grow this year.
School Aspirations Vision Boards
Info: Draw vision boards representing our feelings about starting a new school year, while also creating aspirations for what we hope to achieve this year!
Vision Board Gallery Walk
Info: We will walk around the space and see the vision boards everyone has created. It is optional to display your board for viewing.
Guided Meditation
Info: A brief meditation focused on letting go, embracing new beginnings, and self-love.
Closing Circle
Info: Sharing words of encouragement with our peers and reflect on how we're feeling about the new year.
Group Discussion (Sharing Reflections and Affirmations)
Info: An optional conversation for participants to share their reflections and positive affirmations about themselves.
