Greetings from Nan Sei Foundation...We are glad to host a two day art workshop on Warli folk art, a fund raising event in collaboration with Lavender Artistry.
The session is presented by Lavanya Kannan, Director- Lavender Artistry.An award winning artist who have expertise in Indian & International art.
▪︎ *Warli painting* is a form of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people in Maharashtra.
▪︎This *tribal art* , is one of the finest examples of folk style of paintings, originated in *Maharashtra* , where it is still practiced today.
▪︎The paintings are beautifully executed and depict scenes of *human figures engaged in activities like hunting, dancing, sowing and harvesting.*
▪︎For children:
Warli Art form is the easiest for little kids to start learning about India's Folk art. Every kid can easily relate to the *simple geometrical figures* that a Warli drawing is comprised of. It's also a great way to teach them about *common shapes – lines, dots, triangles & circles.*
