The war for Cirillo Prime has reached a breaking point.
Nexus Ultima is a one-day Warhammer 40,000 Narrative Event that blends the structure and pacing of a tournament with the storytelling and immersion of a campaign—without the pressure of hyper-competitive play or the commitment of a months-long league.
This event is about your army’s story, your Warlord’s choices, and how the conflict across multiple engagement zones shapes the future of the sector. Victories matter—but how you fight, why you’re there, and what you leave behind matters just as much.
The events of Nexus Ultima will conclude a major chapter in the Cirillo Prime campaign… while leaving the door wide open for the next escalation in the months to come.

This is a 1-Day Narrative Campaign featuring 1v1 games only—no teams or doubles.
Narrative Army Requirements
Every army at Nexus Ultima is a character in the story.
Each player must:
Play one army from a single Codex or faction source
Submit a 3–5 paragraph narrative for their force, answering:
Who are they?
Who is the Warlord?
What shaped them into what they are today?
This lore will directly inform how your army experiences the campaign.
Army List Construction
Players will bring two lists for the same faction:
1000 points
1500 points
Important Narrative Guidelines:
Both lists must:
Use Incursion rules
Share the same Detachment, Warlord, and Enhancements
The 1500pt list should include as many of the same units from the 1000pt list as possible, representing the escalation of the conflict
(Flexibility is allowed—this is narrative first, not list policing.)
Lists should be built to reflect personal lore and theme, not competitive optimization

Mission Deck & Special Rules
Players must bring a physical copy of the Chapter Approved Mission Deck (2025–2026).
This deck will be used in a non-standard, narrative-driven way to represent:
Unpredictable battlefield conditions
Command decisions made under pressure
Unique challenges faced by each Warlord during the engagement
Twist Cards will be used in a very different and story-focused manner
Challenge Cards will NOT be used
The Battlefield
Games will be fought across 8–12 tables
Tables will be grouped into three Sectors, each containing 2–4 tables
Each Sector represents a distinct engagement zone or point of interest on Cirillo Prime
What happens in one sector may echo across the planet…
What to Bring
Players are responsible for bringing everything needed to play:
Army, dice, tape measure, tokens, etc.
Chapter Approved Mission Deck (2025–2026) – physical copy required
