Warhammer 40k 2000ptsGame Day – SATURDAY 12th October 2024

Introduction:
Ellerium Games is proud to host another Warhammer 40k event. The following document contains all the information that you will need to know for the upcoming event.
You will compete in a series of 3 games on the day, you will have 2000 points to make a strike force list.
Round one player’s will be matched randomly against each other. All subsequent rounds will be paired using the swiss pairing system. These rounds will be paired randomly within each win/loss bracket. Tournament standings will be calculated using wins, then total victory points.
The event will take place on Saturday 12th of October at the North Kessock Village Hall. At all times, please try to keep the playing aera clear of excess clutter. Each table will have a pre-designated battlefield layout, terrain and mission rule and primary objectives.
What you will need
You must bring along a copy of the Warhammer 40k rules, the codex you will be using, as well as copies of any other materials you will need such as FAQ’s.
Alongside remember to bring your own Tape Measure, Dice and Tray, Markers (Grudge Markers, Pain Markers, Oath of Moment etc) in the case of if you do then there will be spares to be given out but penalties may be incurred.
We have always tried to harbor a very friendly atmosphere and we actively discourage any participants that do not respect the notion of fair play or simply wish to make a name for themselves. It is important to us that players enjoy a friendly competitive game with zero tolerance of unsportsmanlike behaviour. Issues during the game should be addressed immediately if possible, at the table, if a issue cannot be resolved, please contact the organizer or referee adjudicating a game or mistakes gets increasingly difficult if not notified right away.
Entry
Tickets will be on a first come first served basis. Ticket price covers entry and parking. There will be a tuck shop serving snack food and there will be some Warhammer product being sold for.
(No alcohol will be permitted by any attendees) purchase of the ticket can be done via in store or via the Store’s Paypal. Tickets will cost £25 per person, and this is to cover not only usage of the hall but also prizes and other finances to do with the event. There is a 16 Player list with a reserve list for just in case.
Estimated Event Schedule-
8.45am-9am – Registration
9am – 12pm GAME ONE.
12.00pm – 12.45pm Lunch
12.45pm – 3.45pm GAME TWO
3.45pm – 4.00 Break
4.00pm – 7.00 GAME THREE
7.00pm – 7.30 Awards.
**These times are subject to change on the day due to unforeseen issues**
List Submission.
Army lists must be submitted via paper copies on the day or drop any lists into the Shop. Any army lists not collected players will find a 20-point penalty applied to the first round. We will even accept screen grabs from the official app submitted, but wont accept being shown on any device or app as without the copies then modifications can be made without us knowing.
Chess clock/app, some army’s play very slowly as we all know, if you are playing such an army (or your opponent is) we recommend using a chess clock to keep things fair, each player has 1 Hour and 15 Mins of play time and that’s a tight time limit for a 2000-point game. If your opponent wants to use a chess clock, then you must and please do not take it personally. ALL GAMES WILL END AFTER THE TIME LIMIT IS REACHED.
Scoring
Scoring for each game will be entered in the system so make sure you report the result to the organizer or referee of who won and the total points of the game.

And since we are on the cusp of Halloween we will have another award – Most Spookiest.
Facilities
There is toilets in the hall for both male and female and plenty space for players to stretch there legs, with a restaurant next door, a local shop is down the street as well for food and drink.
Facility rules.
No alcohol
No smoking
No animals
Be respectful
Do not interfere in games
Do not touch other’s books, models or dice etc.
Time keeping.
Players must endeavor to complete their full turns within the allotted time for each game and should manage the time appropriately. Please contact the TO if you feel your game is being affected due to slow play, deliberate or other. When the time limit runs out all games end no matter the action being taken.
