DATE: Sunday November 16, 2025
TIME: 11:45 – 4:15
CAMPAIGN FEE: $50 fee for the full campaign or $20 per-day drop-in fee.
CAMPAIGN PARTICIPATION:
When players sign up, they must include:
- A reliable email address for us to contact them with their name draw
- A CHRISTMAS WISH LIST with five items on that list:
1. One item under $60
2. One item under $65
3. One item under $78
4. One item under $85
5. One item under $100
Every player that signs up will be committing to being a Secret Santa for a randomly-assigned player that's also playing in the campaign.
After the first Battle Date, the store will contact each player via email with the name and wish list of the person who they will be the secret santa of.
Despite there being five items on the list, players only have to commit to buying one gift off the list. More gifts is okay, but the minimum is one gift.
SECRET SANTA GIFTS: NOVEMBER 30 DEADLINE
Players who buy their Secret Santa gifts through Imaginary Wars and order+pay for it by November 30 will be given the store's STAFF DISCOUNT for that gift.
(This gives Imaginary Wars time to track down items with enough leeway to order a back-up item, if the first item was out of stock).
If a player totally misses the November 30 deadline, they'll still get a discount, but it will only be 10% off.
ALSO: GIFT-FOR GIFT
As a Secret Santa, when you buy (order & pay) for your kris kringle's gift, you can also order a 'gift' for yourself with the same discount!
DECEMBER 14: THE BIG DAY!
This is the last day of the campaign, and army size limit will be 1,000 points. On December 14, we'll also have everyone's presents wrapped and labelled for the gift giving that will take place at 4:00, following the day's gaming--including a small gift from Imaginary Wars!
MISSIONS
Each installment of the campaign will have holiday-themed missions, where players' armies will be fighting for the various gifts located on each table. Some gifts will give Victory Points, or in-game artifacts usable during the campaign, or real-life gifts from Imaginary Wars...or gretchin booby traps, care of the Red Gobbo.
CRUSADE GAMES AT IMAGINARY WARS
Crusade campaigns are a NON-COMPETITIVE way to play a Warhammer 40,000 league. These campaigns are a great way for players to forge a narrative for their army: each battle results in experience being gained by the units in the player’s army; and as their experience points accumulate, the units will earn new in-game abilities and equipment!
Crusade campaigns encourage cinematic moments, progress in growing players’ armies—and adding personality to each player’s army as it navigates the trials and tribulations of the variety of battles they fight in.
NO PAINTING REQUIREMENT FOR MODELS
There is no painting requirement for armies that will be used to play in the Crusade, but they must be assembled and be on proper-sized bases.
FUNDAMENTALS OF IN-STORE GAMING AT IMAGINARY WARS
WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET
WYSIWYG--what you see is what you get--means all your models have their primary weapons appropriately modelled on the miniature; the store plays does play loose enough with WSIYWG, so long as the player intention behind any variance is honest (ie: *not* using small models to represent big models or having an all-sword unit represent an al heavy-weapons unit etc etc).
3D PRINTED MODELS & PROXIE MODELS
- 3D Printed models are not allowed.
- Straight-up proxies ("these marines are actually Ork Boyz" etc) is NOT allowed.
- More...inspired proxies *can* be allowed, so long as they are NOT 3D printed models. These will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and the player must contact Imaginary Wars prior to the event.
CONVERSIONS & 3D-PRINTED BITZ
Conversions are welcome, but the core of the model must still be a GW model, and the model should still be representative of the rules being used for it in the game.
3D-printed accessories are acceptable for conversions if the rest of the model follows the ethos that they are being added to a GW model.
