About this Event
Spring is the best time for Warblers and Spring Ephemerals. Join us as we search the trails of Kensington Metropark for flowers such as the Michigan Orchid and listen for migrating Warblers.
Kensington has a special opportunity many are not aware of. Visitors can hand feed wild birds (Black-capped Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, White-breasted Nuthatch, Downy Woodpecker, and possibly others.) We will provide the bird seed! This is a great opportunity for up-close observation and photos. Adults seem to enjoy the experience of "a bird in the hand" as much as children do.
Leaders: Esha Biswas and Jim Mahon
Note: Entrance to the park requires an entrance fee or an annual metropark pass.
