Warblers are one of the most enjoyable and challenging groups of birds to identify. Join Missouri Bird Records Committee member Kendell Loyd Friday evening for this workshop focusing on basic identification, including plumages, songs and calls, behavior, and habitat. Then, on Saturday morning travel to warbler hotspot Busiek State Forest with Kendell to practice your newly developed skills. Whether you're a beginner birder or an experienced enthusiast, this class will enhance your skills in recognizing and appreciating these fascinating birds. Come prepared to spend an evening in the classroom and then a morning outdoors as we practice spotting and distinguishing the field marks of these feathered jewels.Time: 6:30 – 7:30 pm Friday and 8:00 to Noon on Saturday
