War on Education - Documentary Screening

War on Education is a powerful documentary that reveals the devastating impact of Russia’s invasion on Ukraine’s schools and students. Through emotional interviews with students, teachers, and officials—including Ukraine’s Minister of Education—the film exposes how classrooms and Ukrainian-language textbooks have been deliberately targeted in an effort to erase Ukrainian identity, and how Ukrainians continue to fight to keep education alive.
This film will be presented as the closing night event of the Marquette University International Film Festival, a student-run festival supported by the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, and is free and open to the public.
