Kicking off the event with a BYOP Cornhole Tournament presented by Hoze Bagz and continuing into the evening with another Summer of Red Dirt concert featuring War Hippies, the dynamic country duo Scooter Brown and Donnie Reis, who stormed onto the music scene with their debut album, generating hits like "Make It Out Alive" and "The Hangman" while touring with Travis Tritt and Chris Janson. Millions of streams later, they’ve continued to tour and are set to release a much anticipated new album in 2024. Beyond music, they support fellow veterans and military families through advocacy work, fundraising, and helping children secure access to musical instruments. Copper River is excited to have War Hippies headline this benefit concert supporting our local VFW Post 5812 and local veteran motorcycle club Warriors Dist. 2. This is a $10 donation at the gate the day of the event, but all are welcome. Adding to the evening are east Texas native and Army veteran John Teague and the Teague Brothers Band performing their Red Dirt hit singles "Don't Wanna Go Home", "Fingers and Thumbs" and "I Found Trouble".
Music will start at 5pm with local Army veteran Sam Humphrey.
