Wanganui Aero Day 2025 brings you a day of epic aviation. Bigger and better than ever before, we’re going to bring you some of NZ’s best in general aviation! Anticipating over 50 aircraft in attendance, we’ll have a fantastic part of our country’s aviation history and community on display. Everything from home build aircraft, microlights and vintage classics, to ex-military jets, warbirds and aerobatics machines.
We have two airshows planned as well as joyrides frequent through the day; Wanganui Aero Day is going to be full of flying displays. The day will be full of the hearty throb of big radial engines, the chug of classic biplanes, the scream of fast jets, and the whistle of WW2 fighters overhead.

What is for certain, is that this day is one for the calendar.
We need to thank the whole of NZ’s General Aviation community, this day is coming together due to the support and generosity of many of these aircraft owners and pilots, they are coming to share the joy and passion of aviation with the community, it’s something very special to us and we are excited for the day!
