The darkest days of the year are here. Join us for a festive gathering to symbolically carry the light through this time.
Reviving a past Lafayette tradition, we will meet in the parking lot at the southern side of Waneka Lake and walk the 1.2-mile loop around the lake, making a few stops to listen to seasonal meditations written by Friends of Coal Creek’s Writer-in-Residence Erin Robertson and perhaps sing a seasonal song or two.
This event is fun for the whole family, so bring the crew to help us carry the light. Dress warmly, bring a lantern or flashlight (not too bright), and a piece of writing (yours or someone else's) to share, if you like.
