This is the third edition of Wanderthirst - Vinum's ongoing series for people who love wine and want to go further, without the stuffiness.
No tasting-note theatre. No linen tablecloths. Just great bottles, honest conversation, and the kind of clarity that makes you wonder why no one explained it this way before.
The Format
We've taken over the upstairs room at Praelum Wine Bistro for an intimate evening guided by Matthew Hemming MW - one of fewer than 450 Masters of Wine in the world, and one of the most engaging people you'll find at a table.
Six wines. Four courses. A deliberately curated progression through some of Bordeaux's most compelling appellations: the velvety Right Bank of Pomerol, the power and structure of Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe, and the distinctive gravelly elegance of Pessac-Léognan - rounded off with a cuvée that makes a quiet case for Bordeaux Supérieur done properly.
