As part of the Art Exhibition Nearly home, we are happy to invite your to hear Sam Frearson-Tubito.i Sam is a third-generation global nomad who has raised four children, continuing the family tradition of international living. With a life spread across 16 countries, she currently resides in Madrid, Spain, with her husband and one of their sons. Having lived in Africa as a child, her golden retriever Khaya, meaning "home" in Swahili, is a nod to her roots. Sam's philosophy centers around identity being shaped by experiences rather than just origin.
She is now focused on finishing her memoir, Wandering Identity: Beneath a Borrowed Sky, due for publication in 2025. Sam shares insights from her nomadic life in talks at international schools and expat communities, offering advice and inspiration to global families.
