Wizards, witches, sorcerers, fairies, and all who use a magic wand - come one and all to Grimm & Co for a special wand making experience!
Grimm & Co have sold magic wands for centuries, working with local wand makers to source the best quality wands for our customers. We know that choosing your wand is a very personal and momentous occasion, and we want to give you the opportunity to create your very own birchwood wand. Birchwood is a durable hardwood, light in colour, with beautiful straight grain. Birch can represent new beginnings, which is ideal for those starting with a brand new wand!
Graham Grimm, our proprietor, will only sell wands to those who swear never to use them for evil magic, before you leave we will all pinkie promise and sign our names on the wand owner contract which is stored at Grimm & Co. to state that our wands will be used for good.
So, join the Shop Elves as we turn a plain birchwood wand into a personalised, decorated and unique wand, complete with its own 'energy source', magical affinity gem and elements to help channel your magic during spell-work. We will write our the information we learn about our wands, weigh them and write out an activation spell to wake them ready to use! At the end of the session you will get to take home your very own magic wand, a satin-lined wand box and your written activation spell.
Cost: £11.50 per child participating (plus Eventbrite fees). Includes decorated birchwood wand, written activation spell and a mini colour-changing potion drink (magical lemonade!).
Age: This workshop is for children. Target age is 5+ years.
Please book a ticket for every child attending*.
*Adults must stay with their child for the duration of this event.
Please note that Grimm & Co has recently become a Family Hub Satellite and as such we will be sharing our sign-up data with the local authority. This notification is just to let you know about this and that we'll be sharing your young person's name, post code and date of birth for reporting purposes.
