The Walnut Creek Historical Society invites the community to join in the 50 Year Anniversary Celebration of The Walnut Creek Open Space at The Shadelands Ranch Museum on Thursday, June 6th from 4pm to 6pm.
Drop by the museum grounds to pick up your 50th Anniversary Commemorative “Walnut Creek Open Space Passport to Outdoor Adventure” and enjoy a look back over the past several decades to explore how crucial planning efforts as well as grassroots activism and community participation shaped the land we enjoy as our Walnut Creek Open Space today.
The exhibition at The Shadelands Museum will showcase a visual timeline of events and milestones featuring maps, memorabilia, photos, and communications crucial to the success of the Walnut Creek Open Space Foundation’s mission and the preservation of the City of Walnut Creek’s natural environment.
