Join the Wallingford Historical Society as we host the kickoff for Wallingford's America250 celebration.The Parson House will be open at 5:30 p.m.
Festivities will kick off at 6:00 p.m.
The Wallingford committee will be joined by the 2nd Company Governor's Foot Guard which has had a long history with the citizens of Wallingford, and which celebrated its 250th anniversary in March.
The Yalesville Fife and Drum Corps will be playing a number of period appropriate songs and members of the Susan Carrington Clarke Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be in attendance.
Mayor Vincent Cervoni will be reading a proclamation for the celebration.
The committee will also be announcing events that are being planned for June 20th and June 21st of 2026, celebrating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
In addition, there will be a ringing of the Old Town Hall Bell, once for each of the 13 Colonies.
The event should last approximately one half hour, leaving plenty of time for you to make it to this season's final Twilight Tunes Concert on the Parade Ground across from the U.S. Post Office where you can enjoy Rhythm City's R&B, Disco, Rock, Motown and Top 40 hits.
