This is a fun three-event series of 5km cross country for Adult & High School runners and 3.4km for walkers, held at Rabbit Island.
Juniors (Pre-school to Intermediate) can choose 1 lap (1.7km), 2 laps (3.4km) or 3 laps (5km).
The series is on the following Saturdays - 29 Mar, 5 Apr and 12 Apr.
Registration is from 1.30pm, race briefing 2.20pm and race start 2.30pm.
Points are awarded at each event and members of Waimea Harriers compete for the coveted Wallace Shield.
This is a great event for families. Parents are very welcome to run with their children if they want to.
This Event is free and open to everyone, you do not need to be a member of Waimea Harriers to take part in it.
However, there is NO CHARGE for student membership, so join up your young ones!

Some important things to note:
Youth membership of the Club (including High school & Uni students) is free.
This event uses a different numbering system to the "School League Series". New Juniors will need to have a Webscorer number. High school students are in the adult runners category.
The "Juniors" for this event includes pre-school, primary and intermediate students.
Parents accompanying a small child around the one lap course should stay with them the whole way round, cross the finish line with them, each taking a disc to be counted by the Recorder. Please tell the Recorder you are an accompanying Parent.
To be in the running for prizes, you need to be a WH member & attend all 3 events and run in the same category for all 3.

Race two of a fun, three event series of 5km cross country for runners and 3.4km for walkers will be held at Moturoa/Rabbit Island Saturday 5th April.
Meet at the Totara Picnic Area. Registration is from 1.30pm, race briefing 2.20pm and the staggered race start is at 2.30pm.
