We’re delighted to welcome Jimmy Wallace back to the Scottish capital, some years after he earned his stripes and honed his DJ craft here.Already a regular at some of the world’s most iconic festivals and clubs - Panorama Bar, Burning Man, Gottwood, not to mention Scotland’s own Kelburn Garden Party this summer - and on the eve of a debut Asian tour, Wallace harnesses a dynamic mix of global grooves and underground energy in his DJ sets.
His studio production work, meanwhile, known for blending field recordings of nature with hypnotic, genre-bending house, has seen Wallace drop tracks on Permanent Vacation, Mule Musiq, Studio Barnhus, CWPT plus his own Tartan Records, with remixes for Brownswood’s Gilles Peterson further cementing his status as one of the scene’s most versatile and forward-thinking artists.
Now signed to Bradley Zero’s world renown Rhythm Section, with a banging four-track EP out in summer, Wallace’s productions have also been championed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Hunee, Moxie, Erol Alkan, Ruf Dug, Radio Slave, Ryan Elliott, Palms Trax, Roman Flugel, Axel Boman, Artwork, Optimo, Vladimir Ivkovic, Yu Su, Logic1000, Gideon, Suze Ijo, Parris, Joe Delon, Special Request, Skream, Alec Falconer, Jimi Jules, Bradley Zero, Tia Cousins, Dar Disku and Love Fingers.
