Fundraising event for the RNLI 11th - 12th May 2024
The event to raise money for the RNLI as a family fun day and a boat fishing competition.
Starting on Saturday 11th May with 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm Crabbing Event - This one is for the children, but big kids and adults can join in at Portchester Castle, Port Solent where we will be providing the crablines, buckets and bacon. Suggested donation of £5 per child on the day to the organisers to be donated to the RNLI. (Each child will receive a goodie bag at the end of the crabbing session, containing sweets and a drink).
This is followed by a further fundraising Raffle and prize draw from 16:30 till 22:00pm at the Port House
Ideally Hot Food and Snacks and Soft Drinks from the bar (or a Marquet food tent BBQ outside) and Alcohol is available from the Port House Bar. All proceeds raised will be donate to the RNLI, with collection buckets for your spare change and sale of raffle tickets.
Also for anglers to register on the day for the fishing competition by a Donation to Enter per Angler.
Sunday 12th May - 07:00 - 16:00 - Boat Fishing Competition
The anglers will meet at 07:00 and have a safety briefing before heading out at 07:45 to the fishing grounds. Port House meeting room for a Bacon Roll and Tea/Coffee.
Returning to the Port house at 17:30 to announce the winners and provide the total raised for the RNLI to finish around 19:00
