About this Event
When Rosa Parks sat down, Bristol stood up and marched and, on the day, it defeated the Colour Bar, Martin Luther King Had A Dream. The Boycott also paved the way for the Race Relations Act of 1965.
Walking in the footsteps of the pioneering protestors, this walk will visit numerous sites connected to the Boycott. From plaques, statues, and murals to stained glass windows and bus stops, this tour will visit sites linked to those that led it and supported. Also it will take in sites connected to the ongoing work commemorating the Boycott's contribution to a better Bristol.
Walks4Change is part of Bristol Bus Boycott 360, a 3-year initiative co-creating 360 ways to honour its legacy with the aim of tackling and defeating racial inequality in Bristol and beyond. To find out more about our exciting work and to join our movement visit www.CuriosityUnLtd.com.
