About this Event

Welcome to Freshwalks. This Walks for Women+ event is part of our own vibrant business community programme and women in business are welcome to join us for some invigorating networking in the great outdoors. This monthly series offers a perfect entry level option and is ideal for those with busy diaries. Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company.

Route description

Dunham Massey is a medieval deer park covering nearly 200 acres and features fine avenues, woodland and open grassland. The herd of more than 150 fallow deer have been resident in the park for hundreds of years.

Part of the Dunham Massey Estate, the park includes a magnificent collection of ancient trees with many of the giant oaks dating back to the 1600s. Dunham Massey also has several grade II listed buildings; including the 18th-century sandstone obelisk at the end of the north vista from Dunham Massey Hall. Tradition has it that it marks the burial site of a racehorse.

Dating back to 1616, we’ll also pass the Mill, the oldest building in the park - a corn mill later converted to a sawmill in 1860.

Receiving this pack is essential as it includes important disclaimers and health and safety information.
