Welcome to Freshwalks. This Walks for Women event is part of our own vibrant business community programme and women in business are welcome to join us for some invigorating networking in the great outdoors. This monthly series offers a perfect entry level option and is ideal for those with busy diaries. Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company.
Route description
This circular walk from Carisbrooke Priory offers a scenic mix of history and countryside. Setting off clockwise, the route skirts the impressive Carisbrooke Castle before descending towards the quiet valley of Bowcombe. Rolling fields and far-reaching views accompany much of the way, with the late November landscape revealing muted colours and crisp air. The return via the Shepherd’s Trail provides a peaceful finish along gentle tracks, leading back towards Carisbrooke with fine views of the downs. A rewarding and tranquil early winter walk.
