About this Event
A two hour walk about espionage and counter intelligence that tells the true stories that inspired spy fiction.
On the walk you will hear about the reasons the British security services were set up, how they are organised, their role in two world wars and the cold war and the work they do today.
The walk visits the outside of buildings used by MI5, SIS (formerly known as MI6), Defence Intelligence and SO15 as well as a few places used by the security services today that hide in plain sight of thousand of Londoner's each day.
Along the way you will hear true spy stories, like the amazing tale of Agent Zigzag, the woman SIS operative that helped catch Russian double agent Kim Philby, the unfortunate Agent Snow and the ungentlemanly warfare conducted by Section D.
The walk lasts two hours and finishes outside the beautiful St Ermin's HotelÂ
