With the finding of the body of Mary Ann Nichols in the early hours of 31 August 1888, a spate of serial killings began to prey on the public imagination, the most enigmatic series of murders ever to come under the scrutiny of criminologists worldwide.
This tour is not a grim gore-fest; rather we consider buildings surviving from the time which tell this most mysterious of crime stories.
PLEASE NOTE - there will be an inevitable amount of graphic description. Do consider this when making your booking.
Meet me outside the Whitechapel Idea Store (turn left out of Whitechapel Station and follow Whitechapel Road towards Brady Street).
The tour will take approximately two hours; it finishes at Spitalfields Market, near Liverpool Street Station, and not far from Shoreditch High Street Overground Station.
