The Minet Estate is a small area of fine Edwardian housing arranged around Myatt's Fields park in the South London district of Loughborough Junction. In 1978 Sir John Betjeman declared "Thank God for the Minet family" who created an area he found strangely beautiful. This walk will explore the estate, and the park, voted one of the Top Ten parks in Britain. It will also explain why this part of London is named after an East Midlands town and you'll get to see one of London's less well known Cathedrals
