One of a series of walks visiting the highest point in each London borough. This one visits Shooters Hill in GreenwichThis two and a half hour walk takes in Shooters Hill - the highest point in the London Borough of Greenwich and on the historic route into London that dates back to Roman times. Starting at Falconwood Station, the walk climbs up through ancient deciduous woodland to Severndroog Castle - an interesting 18th century folly. Once at the summit of Shooters Hill , you will get some fine views of London before the walk continues to Plumstead Common, a place with links to Arsenal Football Club.
The whole walk is 3 miles and includes some steep climbs, but luckily with a cafe stop on the route.
