Church End has been settled in since the 13th century and we cans still see the Church and trace where some of the early buildings and facilities were. We can also look at the architectural detail and building materials of the Victorian and Edwardian houses and shops and take a detour to see Stephens House, the home of "Inky" Stephens. Continuing on, we pass large early 20th century houses and come to the Finchley Garden Village a 9 acre site developed by a co-partnership company between 1908-1914 and we weave our way via the Dollis Valley Walk back eastwards to College Farm, the only farm remaining in Finchley which in its hay-day served Londoners with fresh milk. A short walk concludes our tour on a garden traffic Island in Regents Park Road which features the striking La Deliverance statue ( commonly known as the Naked Lady) which is now listed as a First World War memorial
Starts opposite Finchley Central Station in Station Road and finishes at Henley's Corner in Regents Park Road where you can either walk back to Finchley Central, go on to Hampstead Garden Suburb, Temple Fortune or to Golders Green. Busses can take you in the direction of Finchley Central, East Finchley and Golders Green
