About this Event
Silence, meditation, and listening to / engaging with Dharma teachings has a wonderful abiltiy to encourage our life and practice. This day will be guided by North Burn, the founding teacher of Boundless Refuge. We'll follow a gentle yet rigorous schedule of sitting and walking meditation. There will be instructions in the morning, optional private meetings with the teacher, and a Dharma talk. Please come a little early to get settled and plan to stay for the full day. Bring your own pack lunch and meditation cushion if you have one. Although the day will be mostly silent, there will be times for connection with others. This event is suitable for beginners to advanced practitioners.
The location is in Kentfield, near San Anselmo, about 15 minutes north of San Francisco, in a beautiful house. The exact location and parking instructions will be shared with you after you register.
This event is generosity-based. Please offer what you can according to your inspiration and means to support this event and our ability to continue making offerings like this.
A few special details for this particular daylong:
-Holiday Nut Butter Drive! Retreat-goers love nut butter, and jars of almond, peanut, or other nutty goodness disappear fast. In the holiday spirit, we'd love to collect a few jars of sealed nut butters to support the retreatants at the Boundless Refuge 3-month retreat in the springtime.
-We're excited to offer gong-fu cha tea ceremonies throughout the daylong container! Our guest tea ceremonialist, Judy Zhou, will create connecting and grounding space through this style of Chinese tea ceremony that cultivates mindfulness and stillness.
