About this Event
Come explore a lower-impact version of the game we all love! Great opportunity to play before/after your meal with loved ones or whatever you plan to be doing.
Rules:
1. Walking - no jogging/running - With or without the ball. Putting heel down first before entire foot can help.
2. Keep ball below head height.
3. No leaning and low impact tackling only.
Who: Walking Soccer-Austin members, their friends, family - like, anyone.
What: Walking Soccer pickup game - play and/or watch.
Where: Soccer fields near South Austin Rec Center (1100 Cumberland Rd, Austin, TX 78704) OR backup indoor location at Avila South if it's rainy/stormy
When: Thursday 11/28/24 @ 11 am, start rolling in at 10:45am!
Why: Because we love soccer and movement, and chosen community.
*Note* - If there's absolutely no interest, I may cancel this event closer to the date but I'll probably be out there for at least a little bit. I know not everyone gets the chance to be with loved ones in the way they'd prefer and events like this being offered can be a nourishing experience, so here we go!
(*The organizer handles Meetup group sub fees + indoor rental fees. Contributions are always welcome and not required at this time.*
