Enjoy a leisurely walk along the nation's #3 dinosaur tracksite- which happens to be alongside the Fossil Trace Golf Course in Golden, Colorado! A geologist will guide you along and explain the rock formations and fossil impressions preserved from the Late Cretaceous time when Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops called this part of town their stomping grounds. Also some of the best preserved palm fronds and other trace fossils paint the picture of a very different Colorado. Free parking in the lot at the northeast corner of 6th Avenue and 19th Street in Golden. Meet at the gravel trail, look for your guide wearing a shirt/hat with the Dinosaur Ridge logo!
