Join us for a walk to the Loch of the Red Trout, a groundwater fed Loch behind Meall Fuar-mhonaidh. It is approx. 5 miles with some steep and uneven ground. There is no need to join for the whole walk just as far as you are able to. Please bring a picnic and everything you need for being out on the hill. Shannon from the Inverness Courier will be coming along to listen to anyone that would like to share their views on the Pump Hydro project. We feel people need to see this special place for themselves to understand what could be lost. It is one of Loch Ness’s most precious aquifers, sitting directly on a secondary fault and supporting a diverse groundwater-dependent flora which receives water direct from the bedrock.
