Let’s experience the healing and liberating power of a mindful walk in nature.Let’s take time to disconnect to reconnect.
Did you know that a lot of time, we are absent during our walks, lost in thoughts about the past and future rather than attentive to our walking experience in the present moment. By removing distractions such as cell phones, cameras and even talking, participants are able to truly engage with their surroundings and experience the restorative properties of nature.
With the Walk It Out group, we practice mindfulness while walking in nature, allowing our minds to come back to the present moment and keep in touch with the real world.
The walks take place in carefully selected spots that are conducive to mindfulness practice.
What We Offer:
-A safe and inclusive environment for all participants
-Guided hike to breathtaking waterfalls
-Mindfulness activities and relaxation techniques
-Opportunity to share experiences and connect with others
-Resources for ongoing mental health support
What to Bring:
-Comfortable hiking shoes
-Water bottle and healthy snacks
-Journal or notebook (optional, for reflections)
-An open heart and mind
This hike is not just about reaching the destination; it’s about the journey, the connections we make, and the healing we discover along the way.
Feel free to share this with anyone who might benefit from a day of healing in nature!
Note: We will meet at the Target (Northlake) parking lot at 8:30-8:45 am so that we can carpool and/or follow each other to the mountain.
