ABOUT THE WALK:
The Walk For Freedom is not just a walk – it’s a collective movement in the fight against sex trafficking in Nebraska. When we walk, we make a statement. We walk for the women and girls who are still entangled in exploitation, for justice, for survivors, and for a future where every human is free.
Hosted by the nonprofit I've Got A Name, participants will walk from the Nebraska Union Broyhill Fountain to the State Capitol Building to raise awareness, demand change, and show others that we will not stop until we end sex trafficking where we live.

When you Walk For Freedom, you declare your commitment to protecting the vulnerable, raising awareness, and standing against this injustice. It’s about using your voice, your network, and your passion to create lasting change!
REGISTRATION:
- Registration is $25, which includes a Walk For Freedom T-Shirt and Valentino's Pizza.
- For students, registration is $15.
- Kids 12 and under walk for free, but no shirt is guaranteed.
Whether you register as an individual or gather your friends, family, or coworkers to form a team, your participation matters!
FOR TEAM REGISTRATION:
- Each team member can register individually, or one person can register up to 10 people at a time.
- AFTER the payment page, you’ll have the chance to input your Team Name. We ask that all team members are aware of the Team Name so they know what to type in at this step.
- Team names will be announced at the walk, and will have the opportunity to get their photo taken with our “No Girl For Sale” and "End Sex Trafficking in Nebraska" banners.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
- Check-in begins at 9:00 AM
- We will begin walking to the Capitol Building promptly at 10:00 AM
- We will walk back to the Broyhill Fountain around 11:00 AM to have Valentino's Pizza for lunch.
NOTE: Early T-Shirt Pick Up will on April 6th — one week before the event. Details on the time and location will be emailed to closer to the date.
