As we ease into the new year, many of us are already feeling the pull of busy routines. One simple tool I teach in mental fitness coaching is finding an anchor. An anchor is anything that helps you feel steady and present so you can catch your breath instead of being swept up in stress.
It might be the feeling of your feet on the ground, a slow breath, noticing a colour around you, or placing a hand on your chest. It is small, practical, and something you can use anywhere.
In our January Walk for Calm we will explore this together and help you find what works for you. It is a gentle way to reset, feel grounded, and start the year from a steadier place.

Monthly Community Wellbeing Walk on the Hibiscus Coast
Walk for Calm is a gentle, free, community led walk created to help you reset, breathe, and reconnect with what truly supports your wellbeing.
First walk is scheduled for January 13 th 10 am 2026.
Hosted monthly on the Hibiscus Coast, this walk blends relaxed movement with the restorative power of our coastal blue and green spaces. You will be guided through a one hour walk at a steady, accessible pace that suits all fitness levels.
As a Registered Nurse and Certified Health and Mental Fitness Coach, I bring a supportive, strengths based approach to each walk. Every month we explore a simple reflective focus designed to help you strengthen your mental fitness, build clarity, and support your emotional resilience in a busy, distracted world.
Walk for Calm is ideal for anyone feeling stretched, overwhelmed, or simply in need of a regular pause to regain balance. It offers space to slow down, breathe more fully, and reconnect with a sense of steadiness within yourself and your surroundings.
