Have you wanted to learn how to identify trees? Curious about the role trees play in the Flint Hills? Join Kansas Forest Service staff and the Flint Hills Discovery Center on a walk featuring the trees of the Flint Hills. We will learn about native trees, which ones are considered invasive, and how to manage trees in the grasslands of Kansas.We will meet at the Rocky Ford Fishing Area of Tuttle Creek State Park. Please purchase your Kansas State Park vehicle pass separately, either online or in person at the State Park office.
Cost is $10 for FHDC members, $15 for non-members and is scholarship eligible. Pre-registration is required online, by phone at 785-587-2726, or in person at the Discovery Center. Spots are limited.
