Join us for a Walk and Talk at Tiguex Park! (Meet at the Westside of the park.)
Our Walk Leader this year is: Amy Gundelach
WHO: BREAST AND GYNECOLOGICAL CANCER SURVIVORS, CAREGIVERS, FRIENDS, AND FAMILY
REMINDER: It’s never too late to enjoy the health benefits of exercise but safety is key! Please wear comfortable clothes, bring water, and protect yourself from the sun with a hat and sunscreen.
Exercise helps you maintain a healthy weight. Being overweight or obese raises your risk for several cancers including uterine and breast cancers.
Exercise helps your body regulate hormone levels. Increased levels of some hormones can increase your cancer risk.
Exercise speeds digestion, which may reduce the time that potentially harmful substances are in the colon.
