Face to face walk and talk remembrance event for those affected by suicide loss and residing, working or studying in North Central London.
About this Event

Join us – AMPARO – for a face-to-face, gentle walk, open to anyone aged 18+ years, who are residing, working or studying within North Central London and who have been affected by suicide loss.

We will stroll around the beautiful Kenwood House grounds, passing The Hill Garden and Pergola, and surrounding Hampstead Heath on Saturday 21st September 2024; 1.30pm – 3.30pm.

The aim of the walk is to take the opportunity to connect with one another, improve social connectivity and improve overall health and wellbeing.

Research shows that engaging with nature is linked to positive health benefits and general wellbeing.

As well as individual health benefits, research shows that nature-based interventions can lead to improvements in social cohesion, social empowerment and social support, reducing feelings of loneliness and social isolation.

As an individual bereaved by suicide, isolation and loss of connection in what can at times feel like an unsafe world is unfortunately quite commonplace.

So if you have been affected by suicide loss and reside, work or study in North London please come and join us.

Our AMPARO staff will be along on the walk to offer support and local signposting information and advice.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to this face-to-face meeting!
