Join Us for a Powerful Walk to End Power-Based Violence
Walk a Mile in Their Shoes is an annual walk to raise funds and awareness about Heartly House's work to END power-based violence and to provide shelter, safety, and support to all victims and survivors in Frederick County.

We will gather at 10:00 AM for survivor speakers, a chance to meet community partners, and walk together through Baker Park to raise awareness and demonstrate support for survivors. The walk will conclude with our Hoffmann Cup awards ceremony for outstanding individual and team fundraisers.

🏆 Create a Fundraiser! 🏆
We invite you to help support our work to end power-based violence and support all victims and survivors by creating a fundraiser or fundraising team leading up to our Walk a Mile in Their Shoes event. All individual fundraisers and fundraising teams will be eligible to participate in our second Hoffmann Cup awards, an awards ceremony closing out our walk on Saturday, October 19.
Blaine A. Hoffmann, Heartly House’s former Legal Director, played an integral part in establishing our annual Walk a Mile event. The Hoffmann Cup honors Blaine and his 15 years of tireless advocacy for victims, survivors, and their families. We call upon you to be an advocate for unifying individuals, businesses, and organizations alike against power-based violence.
