Where Wild Rivers Run
Walcha is known for its wild natural wonders, wonderful art, and fascinating Indigenous and European heritage.
Surrounded by thousands of hectares of World Heritage-listed wilderness, national parks and state forests, the Walcha area is threaded with wild rivers that lead to awe-inspiring gorges and waterfalls.
Walcha has a rich history as the oldest settlement in the New England region. Take in the gorgeous historic buildings and all that lies within them; art galleries, antiques, boutiques, handmade wares, cafes, taphouses, pubs and more.
