Join us for a gardening presentation led by an experienced gardener passionate about permaculture and edible forest garden methods. Whether you have a backyard, community garden plot, or balcony, or are just curious about cultivating your garden, this workshop is for you!


What You'll Learn:

  • Seed Starting: Tips for getting a head start on the season with indoor seed starting.
  • Season Planning: Strategies for planning your garden's success throughout the year.
  • Vegetable & Flower Growing: Techniques for growing vegetables and flowers.
  • Pollinator-Friendly Maintenance: Discover how to maintain a pollinator-friendly yard this spring.


Bring Your Questions:

Bring pictures of your growing spaces, along with any seed packs or indoor growing equipment you have questions about.


About the Instructor:

Our instructor has been gardening since the age of 4 and has spent the last 5 years building a garden in Waterloo using permaculture methods. With experience in traditional farm-kitchen gardens and large urban communal spaces, they are also a member of the City of Waterloo's Pollinator Working Group.


Tools & Resources:

We'll highlight KWLOT items perfect for spring yard work jobs and provide plenty of opportunities to learn from each other.
